Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone), Walid Gamal El-Din, presided over the signing ceremony for the first phase of the PYRAMIDS ALU project, aimed at producing high-quality aluminum frames and solar mounting systems with a $1.8 million investment.

The project will be implemented in three phases, beginning with a 5,000-square-meter factory in the Sokhna Industrial Zone, featuring four Plug & Play units. The factory is expected to be inaugurated within two months.

The contract was signed by Walid Youssef, Managing Director of the Main Development Company (MDC), and Tarek Shehata, General Manager of PYRAMIDS ALU.

El-Din emphasized that SCZone offers diverse investment opportunities in green fuel production, infrastructure development, and green bunkering services through the ports of Sokhna and East Port Said.

The PYRAMIDS ALU project aligns with SCZone’s goals of localizing complementary industries for green fuel production and advancing solar energy component manufacturing by leveraging local resources.

The PYRAMIDS ALU factory is a joint venture between the Egyptian company ALU AFRIC and the Chinese company ALU PRO.

It aims to achieve a monthly production capacity of 1,750 tons, supported by two fully automatic fabrication lines and one manual production line.
