Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly chaired the weekly cabinet meeting today in Egypt’s New Administrative Capital, addressing several pressing issues and key topics.

The Prime Minister discussed his participation in the 29th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP29) on behalf of President Sisi. He noted that the conference provided an opportunity to engage with several world leaders, including the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan and the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, underscoring Egypt’s commitment to deepening ties with nations worldwide and expanding bilateral cooperation across diverse sectors.

Emphasizing the importance of building stronger relations with Azerbaijan, particularly in the oil and pharmaceutical sectors, Madbouly instructed the Ministers of Petroleum and Health to prioritize partnerships with Azerbaijan in these fields, aligning with Egypt’s strategy to foster mutual collaboration and growth in essential industries.

Madbouly also spoke about the recent official visit to Egypt by Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, which coincided with the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Egypt and Malaysia.

He described the visit as a milestone in the historical and growing partnership between the two nations. The meeting between President Sisi and Prime Minister Ibrahim focused on enhancing relations to a comprehensive strategic level across various fields, a goal the Egyptian government intends to pursue actively in the coming period.
