Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority (SCA), Osama Rabie, held a meeting with CEO of Abu Dhabi Ports Group, Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, to discuss ways of mutual cooperation and to review the recent development of the Suez Canal.

This visit comes within the framework of strategic relations between Egypt and the UAE.

Rabie confirmed the SCA's ongoing implementation of an ambitious development strategy aimed at improving maritime services, enhancing the ship transit experience, and increasing safety levels.

These efforts are part of Egypt's successful endeavors to achieve significant infrastructure development in the Suez Canal waterway, the surrounding logistics and industrial zone, and establish a model for integrated maritime services.

The CEO of SCA emphasized the Authority's commitment to ensuring smooth navigation and preserving the maritime advantages of the Suez Canal by implementing necessary measures and procedures.

In addition, Rabie highlighted the SCA's achievements in yacht tourism along the canal, aiming to maximize its benefits and generate new foreign exchange income.

To achieve this, the SCA set a plan to comprehensively develop yacht marinas in Port Said, Ismailia, and Port Fouad, ensuring services that meet international standards.

The development efforts have already yielded success with the Ismailia yacht marina, accommodating 100 yachts and receiving positive feedback from clients worldwide.
