President Sisi stresses ceasefire, humanitarian access in meeting with CIA Director

Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi welcomed William Burns, the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), in the presence of Major General Abbas Kamel, Head of the General Intelligence.

Official presidential spokesperson Counselor Ahmed Fahmy stated that the meeting reaffirmed the strength of the strategic partnership between Egypt and the United States and its pivotal role in maintaining security and stability in the Middle East.

It also emphasized the mutual commitment to bolster and enhance well-established cooperation between the two countries across various sectors, particularly in the realms of security and intelligence. The objective is to support efforts aimed at restoring stability in the region and addressing the multifaceted challenges in this regard.

The official spokesperson explained that the meeting included discussions on several international and regional issues of common interest, with a specific focus on the Israeli military escalation in the Gaza Strip.
