Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, announced that the government is working to hand over land designated for the Ras El-Hekma City Development Project to its UAE partner. This step is set to initiate the essential infrastructure for this significant project.

The Prime Minister held a meeting today to discuss the latest updates on the execution of the first phase of the Ras El-Hekma City Development Project and to review the status of compensation provided to residents in the area.

In his statement, Madbouly emphasized that the meeting was part of the government’s ongoing follow-up on the progress of the first phase of Ras El-Hekma and the adjacent Shams El-Hekma City project.

He underscored the coordination efforts with relevant authorities to overcome any challenges and address potential issues effectively.

According to Cabinet’s spokesman, Mohamed El-Homsani, the meeting addressed updates on the land transfer for Ras El-Hekma’s first phase, the survey of lands, homes, buildings, and agricultural plots in the city, as well as details of compensations provided to residents to date.

El-Homsani added that the meeting also covered the progress on the primary and secondary road networks, infrastructure, and utilities for the alternative Shams El-Hekma area, which will feature residential, service, commercial, and open spaces.

Discussions also included the allocation of land to establish an experimental school in the Shams El-Hekma region.

Additionally, the meeting reviewed the status of the resettlement plan for the first phase in Shams El-Hekma within the Matrouh Governorate. The attendees examined the progress of lease agreements for residents and the remaining contracts, with an emphasis on completing the required procedures promptly.
