Minister Al-Mashat presented the new operational framework for the Ministry, which aims to achieve sustainable economic growth by investing in human capital, industrial development, and green initiatives

Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation, Rania A. Al-Mashat, met with UNDP Administrator Achim Steiner during the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly. The meeting focused on strengthening the partnership between Egypt and the UNDP and discussing mechanisms to accelerate sustainable development.  

Minister Al-Mashat presented the new operational framework for the Ministry, which aims to achieve sustainable economic growth by investing in human capital, industrial development, and green initiatives. The Ministry also plans to build a resilient economy through macroeconomic stability and structural reforms.  

The UNDP expressed its commitment to supporting Egypt's development efforts and welcomed the Minister's new approach. The two sides discussed potential areas of collaboration, including climate action, digital transformation, and private sector development.  

Minister Al-Mashat emphasized the importance of data-driven policies and evidence-based decision-making in addressing development gaps. She also highlighted the need for innovative financing tools to support sustainable development initiatives.  

The meeting concluded with a commitment from both parties to strengthen their partnership and work together to achieve Egypt's development goals.
