British Firms Globeleq & PASH Global to invest in renewable energy field Egypt

This came during a meeting between Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Hassan El-Khatib, with representatives of British companies working in the field of renewable energy as part of his current visit to London.

The British Company Globeleq plans to cooperate with the Egyptian government in establishing a huge project to produce green hydrogen, seeking to expand its investments in various fields of renewable energy in Egypt, according to a statement released by the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade.

This came during a meeting between Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Hassan El-Khatib, with representatives of British companies working in the field of renewable energy as part of his current visit to London.

The meeting discussed Globeleq’s interest in expanding its investments in the field of generating energy from wind and establishing water desalination plants using renewable energy.

 Both sides explored other projects aimed at reducing dependence on liquefied gas imports to reduce the import bill. The company also expressed its desire to submit offers for smart transportation projects using clean energy in Egypt.

The Minister also met with Founder of the British company PASH Global, Oge Diala, which also works in the field of renewable energy.

The meeting discussed PASH Global interest in manufacturing solar panels in Egypt, aiming to transform Egypt into a regional and international center for solar energy.

The company previously signed a memorandum of understanding with the General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone worth £2 billion.
