Egypt's exports to Iraq rise to $308 million within 5 months | CAPMAS

During the first 5 months of 2024, Egypt's imports from Iraq recorded $4.1 million, compared to $2.3 million in the same period of last year 2023, an increase of $1.7 million.

Egypt’s exports to Iraq reached $308.5 million during the period from January to last May, an increase from $274.7 million in the same period of 2023, an increase amounting to $34.4 million, according to the latest data released from the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).

During the first 5 months of 2024, Egypt's imports from Iraq recorded $4.1 million, compared to $2.3 million in the same period of last year 2023, an increase of $1.7 million.

The value of trade between Egypt and Iraq came within the framework of the trade exchange list between Egypt and the countries of the Common Arab Market, with the value of Egyptian exports to it increasing to $1.639 billion in the period from January to last May, compared to about $1.448 billion in the corresponding period last year in 2023, an increase of $191.7 million.

This data came in line with the visit currently being conducted by Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad El-Sudani to Egypt, at the head of a high-level Iraqi government delegation.

President Abdel Fatah El-Sisi met Tuesday – in New Alamain - with  El Sudani who is leading a high-profile delegation in an official visit to Egypt.
