Entlaq Company wrapped up the Dutch Startups Matchmaking Program in the Egyptian ecosystem on Saturday, a collaborative effort with the Embassy of the Netherlands in Egypt. The conclusion event saw the participation of Entlaq Company's CEO, Mohamed Ehab, alongside Eva Witteman, the Deputy Ambassador of the Netherlands Embassy in Egypt.
Ehab highlighted the program's significance as an investment opportunity for companies, workers, and investment institutions. He also noted the successful introduction of startups to the Egyptian ecosystem during the RiseUp summit.
The 11th edition of RiseUp, themed "Powering Through," was held from May 16 to 18, 2024, at the Grand Egyptian Museum. It served as a platform for prominent speakers, startups, and industry leaders to share insights on growth, resilience, and collaborative efforts in navigating the business and innovation landscape.
Entlaq aimed to establish a network of events connecting startups with key stakeholders, government entities, the private sector, and entrepreneurial sectors to facilitate potential expansion within Egypt and foster connections nationwide.
Eva Witteman emphasized the importance of trade missions like the Dutch program in Egypt, underscoring their role in enhancing bilateral economic relationships between Egypt and the Netherlands. She stressed the need for stronger business ties between the two countries to reap mutual benefits in investment and trade.
The Embassy of the Netherlands in Egypt hailed the program as an innovative initiative aimed at boosting innovation and catalyzing partnerships. It affirmed the alignment of this collaboration with the missions of both Entlaq and the Embassy to position Egypt as a startup hub in the MENA region through fostering innovation and collaboration.
