Earlier today, the Rafah border crossing reported the 3rd convoy of aid trucks passing through Egypt to the Gaza Strip. The trucks included much-needed medical and food supplies as Palestinians continue to have their supply of electricity and water cut off.

Humanitarian aid deliveries through the border began on Saturday, with an initial 20 trucks, after a number of delays due to disagreements over procedures from the Gaza side of the border.

Some news outlets have reported that the 3rd batch of aid trucks was numbered at 20, which would make the total number of trucks delivered since Saturday to Gaza through the Rafah Crossing 55.

According to the UN, prior to the start of the war, the Rafah crossing would typically see at least 100 trucks pass through on a daily basis.

Egypt has reported a large number of humanitarian supplies being shipped to Al-Arish Airport since October 7th, with reports placing the total number of planes delivering aid to 25.

An Al-Qahera News correspondent said that there were 170 aid trucks in front of the crossing and that they were ready to enter Gaza at any time. North Sinai Governor Mohamed Shosha stated last week that aid provided by Egyptian NGOs and entities had totaled 3,000 tons.

During a meeting with US Senate members on Monday, President El-Sisi highlighted Egypt’s unwavering stance on rejecting the targeting of peaceful civilians as well as the policies of collective punishment. The president stressed for an end to the ongoing escalation.
