President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has met with Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, the Prime Minister, and Dr. Mohamed Shaker, the Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy.
The spokesperson for the presidency, Counselor Ahmed Fahmi, stated that the meeting focused on monitoring the progress of several projects of the Ministry of Electricity across the country.
In this regard, the President was briefed on the latest developments related to the establishment and development of control centers for electricity distribution networks. These centers aim to enhance the performance of electricity delivery services and improve the overall quality of the national electricity grid.
The meeting also discussed the status of securing the electricity supply for national land reclamation projects throughout the country, particularly in Toshka, the New Delta, Sinai, and Upper Egypt. Additionally, the President was updated on the progress of electricity interconnection projects with neighboring countries, including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as Greece, Cyprus, and Italy.
The spokesperson noted that the President emphasized the importance of continuing to develop the electricity sector and building upon the achievements made in this regard over the past years. These efforts align with the comprehensive development plan across all sectors, particularly industry and agriculture.
Furthermore, the President stressed the significance of improving the quality of electricity services provided to citizens, while also strengthening electricity interconnection projects with neighboring countries to achieve mutual economic benefits.
