Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi's opening speech at the National Dialogue has given impetus to the proceedings, according to Dr. Ahmed Galal, the head of the economic axis of the dialogue.

Galal expressed that the political will behind the dialogue was demonstrated, and the best possible discussions that people could have on the recommendations resulting from the dialogue will be implemented.

During a press interview, Galal added that there is a direction in managing policies, whether in politics, economics, or social affairs, and that the presence of authority in this form in the president's speech is essential.

Galal noted his satisfaction with the diversity present in the opening session hall, as well as the organization, the important questions raised by Amr Moussa, and Hossam Badrawi's emphasis on respecting the constitution, in addition to the various rights-based and non-rights-based speeches, and different political parties.

This is a crucially vibrant situation, and the more interaction between the different parties, the better for the country's development.

The National Dialogue in Egypt was inaugurated on May 2023, with the participation of various political parties, civil society organizations, youth and women groups, and academics, among others.

The dialogue aims to provide a platform for all Egyptians to discuss the challenges facing the country and to generate recommendations that will contribute to its development.
