President El-Sisi was briefed during the meeting on the progress of the transfer of various government ministries and agencies to the New Administrative Capital.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held a meeting today at the Strategic Command Headquarters in the New Administrative Capital with Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, the Prime Minister, and General Mohamed Zaki, the Minister of Defense and Military Production.
According to the spokesperson for the Presidency, Counselor Ahmed Fahmy, President El-Sisi was briefed during the meeting on the progress of the transfer of various government ministries and agencies to the New Administrative Capital, in light of the actual transfer of the Cabinet and several ministries and sectors to the capital, bringing the total number of government bodies to 14 ministries and entities, while the rest of the ministries and authorities are preparing to move in the near future.
The spokesperson added that the President directed, in this regard, to continue working towards making the transfer of the government to the New Administrative Capital a solid foundation for the comprehensive modernization of the Egyptian administrative apparatus, characterized by governance and digitization, while focusing on institutional development and selecting the most competent elements in all institutions, and training them professionally, technically, and personally.
The meeting was also attended by Dr. Hala El-Saeed, the Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Dr. Assem El-Gazzar, the Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, General Kamel El-Wazir, the Minister of Transportation, Brigadier General Ahmed El-Azzazy, the head of the Engineering Authority for the Armed Forces, and Khaled Abbas, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the New Administrative Capital Company.
He further explained that this is within an integrated and serious training system, in a way that maximizes the utilization and benefit of the advanced infrastructure, technology, and information that has been constructed in the New Capital, in line with the state's path towards comprehensive development, which is based on updating infrastructure and maximizing human potential in parallel, within the general framework of building and developing the Egyptian state in a sustainable manner.
The New Administrative Capital is a new project in Egypt that aims to ease the congestion of the old capital and provide a modern, state-of-the-art administrative city. The construction of the new capital has been ongoing since 2015 and is expected to be completed by 2030. The project is one of the largest infrastructure projects in Egypt's history, with a cost estimated at $45 billion. The new capital is expected to house several ministries, government buildings, residential areas, and tourist attractions, creating new job opportunities and economic growth for the country.
