Egypt's exports to Greece reach $228.5m in January 2023

The Cabinet's Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) stated that Egypt's exports to Greece hit $228.5 million in January 2023. This records an increase of 223.5% compared to the $71 million recorded in January 2022.

Egypt intends to reach $100 billion in annual exports by 2025.

The Food Export Council (FEC) published a report this March that showed that Egypt’s food industry sector's exports increased by 3% in the first two months of 2023 to reach $665 million compared to $645 million during the same period in 2022.

The March FEC report also showed that January 2023’s exports reached $330 million with an 8% increase from 306 million recorded in January 2022.

Last week, The Central Agency for Public Mobilisation and Statistics (CAPMAS) reported that Egypt's trade balance deficit recorded $2.48 billion this January, a 47% decrease from the $4.68 billion recorded in January 2022.

In addition to that, CAPMAS’ figures showed that Egypt’s imports dropped by 28.2% to $6.33 billion compared to January 2022.
