In a speech following the official announcement of the presidential election results, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Egyptian people for their active participation in the democratic process, citing it as a clear testament to the robust will of every Egyptian.

President al-Sisi acknowledged the significance of the elections, held amid a delicate period with the country facing a myriad of challenges on various fronts. He highlighted the unprecedented voter turnout and the absence of any security breaches, underscoring the maturity and effectiveness of the Egyptian society.

In his address, President El-Sisi stated:

"The scene of your alignment and engagement in the presidential electoral process is closely observed, reflecting the vitality and effectiveness of the Egyptian society, encompassing all its spectra. It affirms that the will of Egyptians is influential, resonating through the voice of every Egyptian man and woman."

The president emphasized the challenges faced by the nation, particularly the ongoing conflict at its eastern borders, calling for a collective effort to safeguard national security. He commended the Egyptian people for their resilience in countering terrorism, navigating economic reforms, and addressing crises with steadfastness and wisdom.

In conclusion, President al-Sisi addressed the citizens: "Your choice of me is a responsibility that I pray to God to guide me in carrying with success and delivering with humility. Let us work together for our beloved Egypt, empowered by the strength and unity of its people. Long live Egypt."

The National Electoral Authority, led by Chairman Hazem Badawy, officially declared President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's victory in the presidential elections on Monday, marking the commencement of a new presidential term.

Having received the election results from all governorates following the completion of the vote counting process, the National Electoral Authority opened the door for appeals against the decisions of the general committees last Thursday. Notably, there were no appeals lodged by any of the candidates concerning the results of the general committees.

The executive body of the National Electoral Authority reviewed the results of the internal voting process, incorporated the external voting results, and presented them collectively to the board of the National Authority. The final results of the presidential elections were subsequently approved.

According to Article 140 of the constitution, the president is elected for a six-year term, starting from the day following the expiration of his predecessor's term. The constitution explicitly prohibits an individual from holding the presidency for more than two consecutive terms.

Article 241, reiterated in the constitution, stipulates that the current president's term concludes after six years from the date of his election as president in 2018. Re-election for a subsequent term is also permissible.
