In the early hours of the day, the General Committees across the nation announced preliminary counts for the presidential elections, revealing a lead for presidential candidate Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in all committees. This suggests his impending victory for a new term, while the results show a competitive race for the second position between presidential candidates Farid Zahran and Hazem Omar.

According to the presidential election law, the president is declared elected by obtaining an absolute majority of valid votes, meaning the National Authority will announce the winning candidate's name on December 18th, who secures 50% +1 of the valid votes.

The National Electoral Authority commenced the reception of counting and voting reports from provinces progressively today, following the General Committees' resolution of objections and all matters related to voting and counting.

The Authority is expected to receive all province results today, initiating the verification and review of counting and voting reports by matching the number of ballots with the number of voters in each general committee nationwide.

Electoral appeals will be submitted to the National Electoral Authority tomorrow, with decisions expected on Friday and Saturday. Subsequently, the results will undergo further review before the official announcement on the following Monday.

The vote counting process, including the tallying of valid and invalid votes, has been completed in the early hours of the day. General Committees announced the numerical count results in the presence of candidates' representatives and the media, forwarding the documents to the National Electoral Authority for the official announcement on the upcoming Monday.
