During the meeting, Minister Shokry emphasized the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire and the safe, sustainable delivery of humanitarian aid. He characterized Israeli practices as potential war crimes, highlighting the alarming statistic that one-third of the 11,000 victims, including 3,000 children, cannot be justified as self-defense.
In response, Bahous underscored the dire situation, pointing out that among the affected population were 55,000 pregnant women. She expressed concern about the continuous shelling of hospitals, which has severely hindered their ability to provide essential healthcare services to patients and the injured.
