Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi underscored the imperative of preventing the expansion of the Gaza conflict in the region, emphasizing the need to uphold regional security and stability.

Their discussions occurred during a meeting on Saturday at the joint Arab-Islamic summit in Riyadh.

Addressing the situation in the Gaza Strip, both leaders deliberated on strategies to alleviate the human suffering of Palestinians in the area.

President Sisi emphasized Egypt's commitment to fostering a path of truce and ceasefire, alongside its initiatives in providing humanitarian aid to Gaza's civilians.
