Akram El-Qasas, the Chairman of the Board of "Al-Youm Al-Sabea' newspaper," has emphasized Egypt's unwavering commitment to supporting Gaza from the onset of the crisis, ensuring the continuity of the Rafah crossing even after Israeli airstrikes targeted the Palestinian side of the crossing. Egypt's dedication extends to allocating El-Arish Airport for receiving humanitarian aid from across the globe, intended for the Gazan population.

During a phone interview with DMC channel, El-Qasas disclosed that Egypt has provided the largest quantity of aid to its brethren in Gaza. This significant effort is made possible through the National Alliance for Civil and Development Work and the Egyptian Red Crescent.

He underscored that Egyptian communications are pushing for an increase in the number of trucks entering Gaza daily to meet the residents' pressing needs.

There is a considerable shortage of resources in the region, and Egypt has contributed more than a third of the aid provided to Gaza, despite economic challenges. He stated, "The quantities delivered were remarkable, and the aim is to further double these volumes."

El-Qasas further emphasized Egypt's role as a communication hub for world leaders and various stakeholders. Egypt maintains communications and interactions with all relevant international and regional parties.

He pointed out, "President Sisi consistently speaks about doubling aid to meet the needs of Gaza's residents and striving for a ceasefire and cessation of hostilities."

He noted that international organizations have commended Egypt's efforts in securing the entry of this quantity of aid, and Egypt continues its endeavors at all levels.
