Thursday’s trading saw 1.327 billion shares exchanged with a turnover of EGP 4.425 billion
The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed its first full week of November trading on a high note, hitting the green zone pushed by another strong performance from its benchmark index.
Benchmark EGX 30 jumped by 1.36% on Thursday trading, settling at 24,312.92 points.
EGX 70 inched upwards by 0.1% to 4,659 points, while EGX 100 scored a slightly higher climb of 0.11% to end the session at 6,909 points.
Thursday’s trading saw 1.327 billion shares exchanged with a turnover of EGP 4.425 billion.
Market capitalization was recorded at EGP 1.632 trillion, an additional EGP 16 billion compared to Wednesday’s close of EGP 1.616 trillion.
Trading on securities saw Egyptian and Arab investors as net sellers with EGP 243.394 billion and EGP 5.937 billion, respectively. Foreign traders were net buyers with EGP 249.331 billion.
The top gains of the session were by Golden Textiles & Clothes Wool which climbed by 19.99%, Electro Cable Egypt by 13.41%, and Osool ESB Securities Brokerage by 13.07%.
