Tuesday trading saw 936.6 million shares exchanged with a turnover of EGP 2.231 billion
The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) remained in the green for Tuesday trading, with today’s market capitalization recorded at EGP 1.287 trillion.
Benchmark index EGX 30 was up by 0.71% to close trading at 19,044.39 points, continuing to break its all-time high.
EGX 70 saw an uptick of 0.75% to 3,844.33 points, while EGX 100 inched upwards by 0.28% to end trading at 5,619.7 points.
Tuesday's trading saw 936.6 million shares exchanged with a turnover of EGP 2.231 billion.
Trading on securities saw foreign and Arab investors as net sellers with EGP 93.57 million and EGP 45.4 million, respectively. Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 138.98 million.
The top gains of the session were by Giza General Contracting which jumped by 20%, Elsaeed Contracting & Real Estate Investment Company SCCD by 14.61%, and Kafr El Zayat Pesticides by 9.7%.
The largest losses of the session were by Contact Financial Holding which fell by 10.96%, Egypt for Poultry by 5.34%, and Alexandria Containers and goods by 4.42%.
