Egypt's agriculture exports exceeded 7.1 million tons, valued at $4.1 billion, from January to October 2024, a gain of over $1 billion compared to last year, according to a report received by Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, Alaa Farouk, from Mohamed El-Mansi, Central Administration of Plant Quarantine (NPPO).
Citrus fruits emerged as the top export, with a total of 2,280,106 tons, followed closely by potatoes, which reached 975,839 tons, securing second place among agricultural exports.

Grapes held the fifth position, totaling 180,567 tons. Sweet potatoes followed in sixth place with 175,680 tons, and mangoes ranked seventh, amounting to 127,083 tons.
Rounding out the list, pomegranates took eighth place with 85,421 tons, followed by tomatoes in ninth place at 37,146 tons.
Garlic claimed the tenth position with 24,606 tons, and strawberries took eleventh place at 21,295 tons. Finally, guava exports reached 13,613 tons, placing it twelfth.
This strong performance not only reflects Egypt’s robust agricultural production but also underscores the sector’s potential for growth and its vital role in driving economic value through exports.
