The Egyptian cabinet has greenlit the establishment of YADA Egypt, a new free zone dedicated to the furniture industry in New Alamein City, with investments totaling €70 million.

This project aims to generate 1,320 jobs, with workers residing locally in New Alamein.

YADA Egypt is projected to produce up to 40 million furniture pieces annually, with plans to export the entire output.

Local resources will comprise between 40% and 80% of production inputs, reinforcing Egypt’s goal to integrate domestic materials into its export-focused manufacturing sectors.

Recently, The Cabinet has approved a proposal submitted to the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade to establish a new private free zone project at the Sidi Kerir Petrochemicals Complex in Alexandria.

The project requires an investment of approximately $158.6 million and will create around 500 jobs.

This project, titled Draschem for Specialized Chemicals will cover an area of 157,000 square meters, focusing on producing specialized chemicals.
