11% increase in value of Egypt’s exports to Germany during H1 of 2024 | CAPMAS

While the volume of Egyptian imports from Germany reached $2 billion during the first half of 2024, compared to $1.9 billion during the same period in 2023, an increase of 5.3%.

The volume of Egyptian exports to Germany increased by 11%, recording $463 million during the first half (H1) of 2024, compared to $417 million during the same period in 2023, according to the latest data released by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics ( CAPMAS).

The most important commodity groups exported by Egypt to Germany during H1 of 2024 were vegetables and fruits worth $93 million, electrical and mechanical devices worth $68 million, ready-made clothing worth $65 million, fuel and mineral oils worth $50 million, and oilseeds and fruits worth $25 million.

While the volume of Egyptian imports from Germany reached $2 billion during the first half of 2024, compared to $1.9 billion during the same period in 2023, an increase of 5.3%.

Egypt imported some commodity groups from Germany during the H1 of 2024, including electrical and mechanical devices worth $628 million, cars and tractors worth $464 million, pharmaceutical products worth $206 million, and plastics worth $111 million.

According to CAPMAS, the volume of trade exchange between Egypt and Germany, recorded $2.5 billion during the first half of 2024, compared to $2.4 billion during the same period in 2023, an increase of 4.2%.

The value of German investments in Egypt recorded $196.4 million during the H1 of FY 2023/2024, compared to $199.6 million during the same period of FY 2022/2023.

Egyptian investments in Germany amounted to $97.9 million during H1 of FY2023/2024, compared to $131.4 million during the same period of FY2022/2023.
