Egypt's agriculture exports record $3.6B during first 9 months of 2024

Potatoes ranked sixth in agricultural exports with a total of 107,634 tons. Mangoes ranked seventh in exports with a total of 55,792 tons.

Total Egyptian agricultural exports exceeded 6.1 million tons during the period from January to September 2024, with a value exceeding $3.6 billion, an increase of $800 million and 400 thousand tons over the same period last year, according to a statement by Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, Alaa Farouk.

The total agricultural exports of citrus fruits reached 2,155,486 tons, in addition to exporting 962,618 tons of fresh potatoes, ranking second in agricultural exports after citrus fruits.

Additionally, 251,338 tons of onions were exported, ranking third in exports. Beans (fresh + dry) occupied the fourth position with a total of 175,479 tons, while grapes ranked fifth with a total of 171,081 tons.

Egypt's tomato exports ranked eighth with a total quantity of 36,995 tons, while pomegranate exports ranked ninth with a total of 26,463 tons.

  Garlic followed in tenth place with a total of 22,587 tons. Strawberries secured the eleventh spot in exports with a total quantity of 21,295 tons, whereas guava occupied the last position in exports with a total of 10,813 tons.
