General Electric Healthcare Company to expand investments in Egypt

The minister emphasized the ministry's keenness to provide all possible forms of support to the company to expand in the Egyptian market.

Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Hassan El-Khatib, met with a delegation from General Electric Healthcare to review the company’s current and future investments in the Egyptian market.

The minister emphasized the ministry's keenness to provide all possible forms of support to the company to expand in the Egyptian market.

This will contribute to meeting the needs of the local market and exporting to regional and global markets by taking advantage of the free trade agreements.

El-Khatib pointed to the Egyptian market's investment potentials and qualifications, that can attract more local and foreign investments.

This also includes the availability of raw materials, qualified labor, and energy, as well as the distinguished location and large consumer market.

The delegation of General Electric Healthcare praised the current investment climate in Egypt and its alignment with the company's expansion plans.

They also emphasized the importance of the local market and the significant opportunities it offers for localizing the medical device industry in Egypt to meet the increasing demand.
