UAE’s investments in Egypt increase by 41.1% during H1 of FY2023/2024 | CAPMAS

The value of Egyptian exports to UAE recorded $380.1 million during the first quarter of 2024, compared to $379 million during the same period in 2023, an increase of 0.3%.

The value of UAE investments in Egypt reached $2.1 billion during the first half of FY2023/2024, compared to $1.5 billion during the same period of FY2022/2023, an increase of 41.1%, revealed the latest data from the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).

The value of trade exchange between Egypt and UAE increased to record $1 billion during the first quarter of 2024, compared to $901.6 million during the same period in 2023, an increase of 12.5%.

The value of Egyptian exports to UAE recorded $380.1 million during the first quarter of 2024, compared to $379 million during the same period in 2023, an increase of 0.3%.

 The value of Egyptian imports from UAE reached $634.5 million during the first quarter of 2024, compared to $522.7 million during the same period in 2023, with an increase of 21.4%.

The most Important commodity groups exported by Egypt to the UAE during the first quarter of 2024:

1. Pearls, gemstones and jewelry worth $87.2 million.

2. Machinery, electrical appliances and parts, worth $58.3 million.

3. Fruits worth $45 million.

4. Clothes worth $23 million.

5. Vegetables and plants worth $21.6 million.

This data came in line with the arrival of President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed to El Alamein International Airport for a visit to Egypt over several days.
