Egypt aims to reach $100 billion in annual commodity exports | InvestmentMin

Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Hassan El-Khatib, said that the Ministry will work during the next phase to implement Egypt’s goals aimed at bringing Egyptian commodity exports to $100 billion annually.

To achieve this goal, the ministry will seek to stimulate export-oriented investments, increase the competitiveness of Egyptian products in foreign markets, and open new markets for Egyptian products, El-Khatib added.

The minister confirmed that they will work to maximize the benefit from free and preferential trade agreements signed with a large number of countries.

Minister El-Khatib added that the next stage will witness more coordination and communication with the business community, including investors, exporters, and importers.

The Ministry will work to maximize the benefit from the Export Support and Burden Rebate program, which is implemented by the Export Development Fund in coordination with the Ministry of Finance, He added.

The minister of investment and foreign trade noted the intensification of work to activate all free trade agreements signed between Egypt and economic blocs around the world.
