Egypt attracts foreign direct investments worth $10.04B during FY2023/2024 | GAFI

Heiba pointed to the efforts of attracting foreign direct, which aims to promote Egypt as a regional center for attracting investment.

Egypt attracted foreign direct investments worth $10.04 billion during FY2023/2024, with a growth rate of 12.3% compared to FY2022/2023, CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI), Hossam Heiba said during his participation at New Development Bank (NDB) seminar in Egypt.

Heiba pointed to the efforts of attracting foreign direct, which aims to promote Egypt as a regional center for attracting investment.

To achieve this goal, he added that the Egyptian government working on offering promising investment opportunities in various sectors such as industry, green energy, technology, communications, agriculture, logistics, and tourism.

Additionally, the CEO of GAFI discussed the initiative aimed at enhancing digital services through the introduction of a comprehensive investment services platform.

This platform is intended to simplify procedures for investors and promote ease in establishing companies.

The CEO Heiba referred to the measures taken to reintroduce investment incentive packages for strategic sectors such as health care, transportation and logistics, tourism, and education in coordination with the concerned authorities and the private sector to ensure optimal benefit from these incentives.
