State bolstering social justice

Amidst ongoing economic reforms aimed at fostering growth and development, Egypt has embarked on a new initiative to bolster social justice and protect its most vulnerable citizens. President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi's administration has recognized the importance of comprehensive social policies in addressing inequality and promoting human security alongside economic progress.

The COVID-19 pandemic exposed existing vulnerabilities within Egyptian society, highlighting the urgent need for robust social protection measures. In response, the government has formulated a multifaceted approach to social welfare, focusing on expanding social safety nets and enhancing support for key sectors such as healthcare and education.

The directive to implement the largest urgent social protection package, totaling 180 billion Egyptian pounds, underscores the government's commitment to addressing the pressing needs of its citizens.

This initiative aims to provide immediate relief and long-term support to those most affected by economic challenges and societal inequalities.

By prioritizing the recruitment of essential workers, including medical professionals and educators, and increasing their salaries and allowances, the government seeks to strengthen vital sectors and ensure the well-being of frontline workers. Additionally, investments in social infrastructure and services will contribute to improving living standards and fostering inclusive growth across the country.

President Sisi's unwavering dedication to advancing social justice reflects Egypt's commitment to building a more equitable and resilient society. Through proactive policymaking and targeted interventions, the government aims to create an environment where all citizens can thrive and contribute to the nation's prosperity.
