Egypt & Bahrain sign 13 MoUs for bilateral cooperation

This came in the conclusion of the first meeting of the Egyptian-Bahraini Governmental Committee for Commercial, Economic, Scientific, and Technological Cooperation

The Egyptian-Bahraini Governmental Committee announced that it agreed on 15 joint cooperation initiatives and 13 memorandums of understanding (MoUs) that are being finalized. The inititiatives and MoUs with a number of ministries, state entities and companies in Egypt and Bahrain.

This came in the conclusion of the first meeting of the Egyptian-Bahraini Governmental Committee for Commercial, Economic, Scientific and Technological Cooperation. The committee is being headed by Egyptian Minister of Finance, Mohamed Maait and Bahraini Minister of Finance Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa.

The committee aims to launch a platform for collaboration and conversation that contributes to the development and deepening of bilateral relations between both countries.

The two countries agreed to increase opportunities for trade exchange by overcoming all obstacles that prevent market access and to encourage joint cooperation relations between business communities, enhancing investment and intra-trade. They also discussed offering investment opportunities in industrial fields to private sector companies in the two countries.

The Egyptian-Bahraini Governmental Committee also agreed on establishing a new Egyptian commercial center in Bahrain, and completing the necessary procedures to sign the mutual recognition agreement for the approved economic operator program between the Customs Affairs of the Ministry of Interior in the Bahrain and the Egyptian Customs Authority.
