Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (SMEDA) CEO, Bassel Rahmi, has reaffirmed the agency's commitment to fostering international and Arab partnerships in order to provide comprehensive support to the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) sector and promote entrepreneurial activities.

Rahmi emphasized that SMEs and entrepreneurship are among the top priorities for the country, given their potential to contribute to Egypt's competitive and diversified economy through innovation and knowledge.

During a recent event at the SMEDA headquarters, Rahmi presented certificates of participation to a group of experts who successfully completed the "Enterprise Development and Investment Promotion" training course.

The course, organized by the Arab International Center for Entrepreneurship and Investment, a division of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, was held over a span of three days in Bahrain.

SMEDA plays a pivotal role in coordinating efforts with relevant stakeholders to implement a comprehensive program for the development and growth of small enterprises.

The agency aims to encourage and empower young entrepreneurs by equipping them with essential skills necessary to establish new ventures or enhance existing ones. Through its specialized trainers, SMEDA offers free training courses across various governorates to ensure widespread accessibility.

Rahmi highlighted the agency's ongoing commitment to continuously enhance the capabilities and skills of its trainers, enabling them to graduate a new generation of innovative entrepreneurs. These individuals will be equipped to adapt to local and global market developments and meet consumer demands effectively.

The experts who participated in the training course underwent comprehensive programs on awareness, capacity analysis, entrepreneurial skill development, business plan preparation, and guidance.

These programs were developed in collaboration with international partners, utilizing the expertise of specialists in the field, and adhering to the latest global standards.

The objective is to provide guidance and direction to aspiring entrepreneurs and those seeking to expand their enterprises. Rahmi emphasized that entrepreneurship skills training is the cornerstone of nurturing successful entrepreneurs.

SMEDA's dedication to knowledge exchange and collaboration with international and Arab entities reflects its commitment to supporting SMEs and fostering an environment conducive to entrepreneurial success.

By equipping entrepreneurs with the necessary tools and knowledge, SMEDA aims to drive the growth and prosperity of the SME sector, contributing to Egypt's economic development.

In recent years, Egypt has witnessed significant economic growth, with SMEs playing a vital role in driving this progress.

The government has placed a strong emphasis on supporting and empowering SMEs, recognizing their potential to stimulate job creation, innovation, and economic diversification.

Through initiatives such as the training programs offered by SMEDA, Egypt is nurturing a new generation of entrepreneurs who are poised to contribute to the country's sustainable economic growth.
