According to a report from the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, around 500,000 people have benefited from the state's housing projects, costing EGP 1.2 billion.
This includes furnishing and equipping 20,600 housing units for families who have been relocated from unsafe areas to newly developed areas, at a cost of EGP 644 million.
The report also highlighted that the state has supported social housing and low-income families, with 78,400 Egyptian families benefiting from "Decent Housing" at a cost of EGP 574 million. The value of social housing and low-income support allocations amounted to approximately EGP 11.6 billion during the past eight years, compared to EGP 8.3 billion during the preceding eight years, with a growth rate of approximately 40%.
